my grand father has been diagnosed with pancreas cancer and been told he has less than a week, i was just wondering what the final stages are and what the signs of the last few days are like. at the moment he is in hospital and the toxin that was in his liver has travelled to his brain and he doesn’t recognise us. how long will it be before he passes?

My father-in-law was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2006. After a 2-year fight and undergoing chemo and radiation treatments, we are afraid we have come to the end of the road. We have been told a number of things about how long he has, however, we have not been told what to espect when the end is near. Anyone have some insight into our preparation, or what we should expect?

I’m devastated and want to do something nice for him, any ideas on something that would cheer him up? I’m 16 and have no money. I’m an artist so i was thinking of painting him a picture of me, him and my grandma, do you think he would like this? Any other ideas would be alot of help thanks.

My mom has stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to almost every part of her body. In November her doctor told me that he expected her to last only 4-6 weeks.It is now January and she is still here, I know the doctor only made an estimated guess. However, she was not eating for the longest time. And now for the last week or so, she is eating a lot and drinking a lot. She is bedridden and very weak and confused. But I want to know why she is eating so much lately, if near the end of life they are suppose to lose their appetites?

Describe the final stages of cancer.

I’m looking for some kind of reading material, books anything that can somewhat prepare me a little better, hospice is treating my mom three times a week. Im trying to deal/cope with my mom facing her final stages of life.

Is he in his last stages? What can I do? What should we look for?
Symptoms:
can’t swallow, can’t talk, tired, weight loss

my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, hips, spine, liver, esophagus, stomach, scapula, and brain. she was given two weeks to live as of 10 days ago. she is home with hospice, and has signed a living will. she has had no food or water in the past 5 days. she is on pain medicines for pain, but i was wondering what is to come. i don’t think it can be much worse that it’s already been. what can i do be more prepared?? what will be the next stage, and what do i look for to know when her time here with us is getting close to the end?
her breathing has already starting going irregular. she will go about 10-15 seconds without breathing, and then catch her breath. her feet have started to turn a blue tint. all these things together, i know the end is close. she will still respond with a hand movement to let me know she understands me. she has told me through hand movements that her stomach and hips hurt, so i was scared that the pain medicines were not working.
