Is there someone who had 3rd stage nsc lung cancer and lived without taking chemo, radiation, or surgury?
I had 3rd stage non small cell lung cancer. I was diagnosed 11/3/04 and basicly followed Dr.Days 10 step plan for the last 2 1/2 years. Is there someone out there who has survived as I have? I am 56 and am in excellent physical condition.
End stages of lung cancer?
My dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer last January. We were told 3 weeks ago the chemo had stopped working and he was given 2-4 weeks. He is on morphine pills which keep him out of pain. He isn’t eating anymore….and can’t walk unless he is assisted with a walker. What can we expect? Is there a way to tell how much time he has left at this point?
We were told 3 weeks ago the cancer had spread to his stomach, lymph nodes and liver.
What is the survival rate of stage 3 colon cancer?
My friend is a 45 year old male, late stage 3 colon cancer. It is close to the anus and they might have to remove the anus as well. He is in decent physical shape (slightly pudgy), and has started working out. He looks fine right now but he is going to start chemo later today.
what should I expect?
What will he go through?
Will my buddy Al survive?

[Medical Question] Confused regarding the stages of lung cancer…?
A patient is diagnosed with an apical right upper lobe non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is considered treatable by surgery and a pneumonectomy is performed. However, a few weeks later, he notices a lump in his (R) axilla, which is proven by biopsy to be NSCLC.
Now my question: regarding this patient’s TNM stage, does an enlarged ipsilateral axillary node count as N1 or M1. I ask because the difference has an impact on the stage of the cancer, thus impacting their management plan.
so are axillary lymph nodes considered “regional” or “distant” in the context of NSC lung cancer?
How long can a person live with stage 4 lung cancer?
My Grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (tumors in both lungs) but they haven’t given him any set time. Does anyone have any idea?
Yes, his doctor doesn’t believe in giving a ‘life expectancy’. Non-small cell lung cancer DOES have 4 stages. I have heard that, with the small amount of chemo he’s receiving once a month, a year is about right.
Can anyone tell me the life expectancy for someone with small cell lung cancer limited stage 3rd level?
My mother was just diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. She has been undergoing testing and just started treatments this week with it. I do know shes at stage 3 and its limited stage. Please any information you could give would be great I have seen some information but hoping what you may find looks better than what i have. We still haven’t gotten all the results back yet we will this Friday. But thanks for any and all help.
