My dad just told me he has 2nd stage prostate cancer and is 82 yrs old in good shape, race walks every day. He adv he will start radiation treatment tomorrow for 5 days a wk for 9 wks and will rcv hormone shots.

Does anyone else out there know anyone his age who has gone through this or a good/informative website I can go to?

My dad was diagnosed a couple of months ago with Stage 4 colon cancer. I have been reading everything I can on it, but one of the things this oh-so-preventable-cancer is missing is the type of fundraising I only seem to find for breast cancer. I want to do everything I can to do my part to raise awareness and raise money if I can. Please let me know if you know how to do so.
Anything local to the PA, NJ, DE, MD aread would be even better!

My dad was just diagnosed with non small cell stage iv lung cancer and I am desperately searching for anything that may help. Please don’t send me links to websites for chinese herbs or commercial sites. I really need to know if anybody has had any good results from the cottage cheese/ flax seed oil. There seems to be a lot of positive info out there. I want personal accounts if anybody is currently doing this program.

hi,can anyone help.I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and waiting for an mri scan on 7th august.It must be at the early stages because i have no symptoms,everything seems fine.What kind of treatment do you think they will recomend for me at this stage,i am 50yrs old.

We just found out my dad has colon cancer and it’s stage 4 (all over the liver) the oncologist said he has 2 months to live without chemo and a max of 2 years before it takes over him even with the chemo……
Please anyone give me any info. Has anyone survived cancer spread to the liver and lymph nodes???? Is it possible to overcome this with the most aggressive chemotherapy?
He is in his early forties!

My grandfather is at stage 4 of his lung cancer and it metastasized in his spine. What do you think guys is the best treatment to choose from: Alternative Medicines or chemotherapy with Avastin? doctors, nurses or any people around can you help us what is the best option to choose from… thank you, Hope to expect a good answer from you. I’m sorry that I can’t phrase that a little bit less harsh, but I have recently found out someone that I know has stage II colon cancer. He has had surgery and is in round 2 of a six month chemo treatment. Will my friend survive? For how long?

My aunt has small cell lung cancer. she was just diagnosed and they are saying it is stage 3, limited. BUT there is also a small spot on her liver. I was just curious if anyone knew the life expectancy of someone that DOES treatment with small cell lung cancer?

My mother in law was diagnosed with stages 2-3 lung cancer yesterday. She is having surgery in 2 weeks to remove the mass and test the lymphnodes. does anyone know the survival rate and what she is in for, the dr said it’s major surgery and she will be in awful pain if anyone knows anyone that has been through this. Thankyou
